New Instant Transfer Regulation<\/span><\/h1>\n

I<\/span>n compliance with the new European regulation on instant payments (EU Reg. 2024\/886), significant improvements to the SEPA transfer service will be implemented from October 2025, for both standard and instant transfers. These measures aim to strengthen the security, efficiency, and transparency of your banking transactions. <\/span><\/h2>\n

What’s changing?<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u2013 24\/7\/365 availability: Instant transfers will be available at any time.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Faster processing: The execution time for an instant transfer will be reduced to 10 seconds.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Same price: Instant transfers will cost the same as standard transfers.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Limit management: You can set daily or per-transaction limits for greater control.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The operating limits for instant transfers are aligned with those for standard transfers, and the current \u20ac15,000 limit is eliminated.<\/p>\n

Verification of the Beneficiary (VoP)<\/span><\/h2>\n

A free service is now required to verify that the beneficiary’s name matches the recipient’s account holder’s name (IBAN) before executing the SEPA payment order.<\/p>\n

This service:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Prevents errors and fraud.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Informs you of any discrepancies.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Allows you to decide whether to proceed with the transaction.<\/p>\n

From October 9, 2025, this service will be mandatory for transfers made from accounts held in European Union member states whose currency is the euro.<\/p>\n

What are the possible VoP results?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The possible VoP results are as follows:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Match: the proposed name matches the beneficiary’s account holder’s name.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Non-match: The proposed name does not match the name of the beneficiary account holder.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Almost match: The beneficiary account holder’s name is very similar to the one indicated. In this case, the account holder’s name will be displayed so you can confirm it is the person you wish to transfer the money to. <\/p>\n

Additionally, you will also be notified if the VoP service is not available in the country where the beneficiary’s account is held.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
